Spiralweb Stewardship Association
The Danish non-profit association is the legal and accountable container for selected Spiralweb flows. It holds responsibility for what it opens; it does not hold authority over the people and places with whom it works.
A living membrane for shared responsibility
Constituted on 22 March 2026, the Association holds legal, financial and operational responsibility for its work and supports the development, application and public documentation of regenerative governance protocols and stewardship practice. It belongs within a wider knowledge commons while carrying a clear institutional mandate.
One wider habitat
The Association is anchored in a wider knowledge and protocol habitat developed through Planetary Guardians, Spiralweb infrastructure, Green Papers and applied protocols. This site is the living-practice room; Spiralweb Papers is the public-knowledge room.

The elected Board holds the Association's formal governance. Sofie Soulshyne, MAA, joined the Board on 25 September 2026.
Chair
Oleg Koefoed
Oleg Koefoed, PhD, is an action-philosopher and regenerative placemaker, and the founder and director of the Center for Life and Regeneration. For more than two decades, he has worked where culture, ecological practice, public institutions and place meet. His research and practice explore siteness, urban nature, commoning, participatory mapping and regenerative learning. As Chair of Spiralweb, he brings experience in convening diverse actors around places and translating regenerative ideas into situated practice.

Áine Donnellan
Áine Donnellan is a freelance storyteller, content creator and journalist with an MA in Global Journalism. Her work spans solutions-oriented reporting, regenerative agriculture, agroecology, food systems, human rights and mindful journalism. She has reported on farmer autonomy and seed stewardship in Lebanon and researched how journalism can widen representation and global inclusivity. As Vice-chair of Spiralweb, she brings close attention to whose knowledge is heard, how stories travel, and how language can make dignity, agency and coexistence more perceptible.
Treasurer
Nikolaj Sorgenfrei Blom
Nikolaj Sorgenfrei Blom, PhD, is a biochemist and transdisciplinary researcher whose work has ranged from bioinformatics and Arctic microbiology to water structure and applied quantum biology. Across academic research, research leadership and practical application, he has worked to connect knowledge across conventional boundaries. As Treasurer of Spiralweb, he brings scientific curiosity, methodological discipline and an attention to water as a medium through which molecular, ecological and human life remain connected.

Sofie Soulshyne
Sofie Soulshyne, MAA, is a living-food and raw-food chef whose work explores plant-based nourishment as a practical, creative and communal part of everyday life. She founded The Raw Tribe Café and Raw Love Cakes and has shared her food practice through workshops, gatherings and retreats. Her contribution to Spiralweb brings the meal itself into view: the meeting place of body, culture, care, pleasure and the living systems that sustain us.
Secretary
Lars A. Engberg
Lars A. Engberg, PhD, has a background in research on political participation, urban regeneration, climate adaptation and public-sector coordination. He initiated Planetary Guardians in 2019; that work has since grown into Spiralweb’s open architecture for inquiry, learning and stewardship. He stewards Spiralweb Papers as a public, versioned home for inquiry. As Secretary of Spiralweb Stewardship Association, he leads its day-to-day development and coordinates its first field relationships, connecting local knowledge, institutional capacity, resource flows and human–AI co-creation.
Working practice
Formal governance, day-to-day work and place-rooted stewardship are different responsibilities held in one living process. The Association develops and coordinates the infrastructure; stewards and local relationships hold situated knowledge and authority.
Flow Desk is the light working surface through which the Association locates an active relationship, its responsible holder, its records, its conditions and its next Return.

Working direction
The Association's working direction develops under the responsibility of the elected Board, in dialogue with local stewards and relationship holders across the AnchorPoints. The founding phase is now opening paid capacity so the people carrying continuity, agreements, learning and return have real time for the work.

The people who carry local relationships belong on AnchorPoints, with portraits and biographies added through explicit ongoing consent.
Shared capacity to hold First Field Flow
Current planning horizon · DKK 4,000,000 · approx. EUR 536,000. During 2027 the Association aims to grow progressively towards five to seven people, approximately 3.5–4.5 full-time equivalents, with ordinary non-profit compensation. This is the shared capacity behind field continuity, the PG Ledger, finance and governance, funding and institutional relations, translation, communication and the public knowledge infrastructure.
The horizon is a capacity envelope rather than a grant, current balance or promise of activity. Roles and part-time engagements open only as funds, agreements and actual work allow.

Critical friendship
The Advisory Board is separate from elected governance and daily operations. It offers critical friendship, notices asymmetry and can recommend inquiry, correction, restraint or pause.

One formal membership is open internationally with the same status for all. The bylaws define the Association's purpose, governance and relationship to the wider habitat.

Ways to enter—and remain distinct
Open use, membership, support and formal collaboration carry different responsibilities. They are not steps on a ladder. Most people can use the public commons without becoming a case for the Association, while closer relationships begin only where purpose, consent, capacity and responsibility can be held.

Read, question, translate or adapt the open materials with your own place and practice. This is a complete form of participation; no application, affiliation, contact or review is required.
Public corrections
Help correct the public material
If you find a factual error, an unsupported claim or a problematic representation, identify the page and passage and explain the specific concern. Corrections can include critical disagreement with how the public work is presented.
Democratic continuity
Become a member
Stand in a longer-term relationship with the Danish association and take part in its democratic life. Membership does not confer authority over a field or a claim to funding.

Support the first flows
Help the Association carry its founding capacity and the shared purpose of First Field Flow without purchasing local authority, ownership or control.
Institutional bridge
Begin an institutional conversation
Organisations may explore a bounded collaboration in which lawful mandate, local authority, resources and return remain clear. A first conversation is not a partnership or funding decision.

Public field intake is paused
The Association continues to develop existing and specifically invited practice, project, research, institutional and support relationships. Wider public intake of new fields and projects will remain closed until the Association can govern and carry it responsibly.
